fastboot flash system <system.img>

Flash OS system partition (GSI / ROM)

Destructive Operation WarningReplaces the entire Android framework and OS userspace. Incompatible images will fail to boot.
What It Does

Writes a complete Android operating system system image or Generic System Image (GSI) to the system partition.

Command Syntax
Terminal
$fastboot flash system <system.img>
Usage Examples
$fastboot flash system system.img
$fastboot flash system gsi_arm64-v8a.img

  • Unlocked bootloader
  • Sufficient partition size or FastbootD on dynamic partition devices
