What It Does

Captures the active Android screen framebuffer and pipes the PNG stream directly to a file on your local machine without needing intermediate device storage.

Command Syntax

Terminal

$adb exec-out screencap -p > <output.png>

Usage Examples

$adb exec-out screencap -p > screenshot.png

$adb exec-out screencap -p > ~/Desktop/screen.png

Options & Flags

-p	Output in standard PNG image format.
